I’m prepared to seek audience with Sultans: Zamihan

PETALING JAYA: Preacher Zamihan Mat Zin, who has been in the limelight for his remarks against a Sultan in a recent lecture, said he is ready to seek an audience with the Johor and Selangor rulers if given the opportunity.

The Sunni Organisation Malaysia (Aswaja) president said it was never his intention to create any problems with the royal families, and that the issue surrounding him was played being up by certain quarters.

"If there is room and opportunity for me to seek an audience with any of the rulers, I would love to. Because I never have any problems with the Sultans.

"But if this room and opportunity is not present, then I leave it to god. I am not looking for money or glamour, I am just an akidah-fighter, a fight that will never end until the judgement day," he told theSun today.

Zamihan added that he also accepted the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah's decision to revoke his preaching credentials in the state with an open heart, saying it was the ruler's exclusive right to do so.

"I accept (the decision). There is nothing to be weird about, this is all Allah's fate," he said.
