High tech parking tower to service Jln Tun Razak soon

KUALA LUMPUR: The first modernised premier parking tower is set to open in Jalan Tun Razak soon.
The Mechanical Automated Parking System (MAPS) was officially launched by The Regent of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah today.
M.A Intelligent Holdings Sdn Bhd CEO, Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Isa Kasim said the multi-storey car park uses Japanese technology called Integrated Multilevel Parking System which includes valet services, seasonal parking and premier parking.
"The first modernised premier parking system of its kind is to cater to the needs of consumers and to solve current problems related to the lack of parking spaces in major cities especially Kuala Lumpur.
"This costumer friendly concept car park towers will be able to meet the needs of consumers with the diversity of services offered," Muhammad Isa said when launching the MAPS show unit at Jalan Tun Razak here.
He added the parking tower will be open to the public in two months. The parking tower has 199 parking bays and will operate 24 hours.
The rate is RM13 per entry and another RM2 will be charged for the subsequent hour.
Muhammad Isa said the advantages of the parking tower is it provides a conducive environment and only took up limited space.
"The space needed to build a parking tower is also not that huge, this particular building only takes about one acre of land," he said.
Muhammad Isa added his company has already embarked on building multi-level parking projects in states like Kedah, Perlis, Pahang, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur.
"We will use our expertise, as well as our counterpart in Japan to implement the system all over the country.
"The project revolves around places like hospitals and shopping malls where parking is in demand," he said.
