21 people rounded-up in drug operation in Yan

ALOR STAR: The national Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) rounded-up 25 men between the age of 19 and 60 for suspected drug abuse in an operation at Kampung Kuala Sala, near Yan, yesterday.
Kedah AADK director Mahadzir Elias said 21 of them tested positive for drug and action under Section 3 (1) of the Drug Addict (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983 would be taken against them.
The remaining were found in possession of drugs and handed over to the police for investigation under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, he said in a statement today.
He said the operation was conducted with the cooperation of the Yan district police headquarters. — Bernama
