KUALA LUMPUR: A labourer was sentenced to a total of two months' jail by the Ampang magistrate's court here today for voluntarily causing hurt on two women after finding his drinking bottle missing.
Magistrate Mohamad Firdaus Sadina Ali handed down the sentence on Norazman Abdul Hamid, 52, who pleaded guilty to both the charges.
He was sentenced to a month's jail for causing hurt on a niece, Fatin Aqilah Muhammad Cos, 19, who is a sales promoter, in the bathroom of an apartment at Taman Keramat, Hulu Langat, at 8pm last Oct 16.
Norazman was also sentenced to a month's jail for voluntarily causing hurt on his sister, factory worker Noraini Hamid @ Abdul Hamid, 48, at the door of the same house at the same time and date.
Both the jail sentences were ordered to be served concurrently from the date of arrest on Oct 17.

Earlier in mitigation, Norazman, who was unrepresented, said he was supporting the two victims.
"I admit my mistake. What I did was unexpected. I am the one who is taking care of them after my sister's (Noraini) husband left her and her daughter (Fatin Aqilah)," he said.
