CIMB's ATM and CDM razed in Miri

MIRI: Three Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) , three Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) and a cheque deposit machine belonging to a CIMB Bank in Jalan Indica, Miri Waterfront here were destroyed in a fire early this morning.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) chief Law Poh Kiong said the fire at the bank only involved the room the machines were kept.
"The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained as investigations by JBPM and the police are still going on," he told Bernama today.
Conceding that the fire was indeed extraordinary, Law said the amount of cash in the machines could not be divulged as it involved the bank's confidentiality rule.
He said JBPM received a call at 2.28am and the fire was put under control in 30 minutes and fully doused 20 minutes later. — Bernama
