Number of flood evacuees in Kota Belud rises to 1,729

KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood evacuees in six relief centres in Kota Belud has increased to 1,729 as of 7.45am today from 1,503 last night.
Sabah Civil Defence Force in a statement said these evacuees are placed at Tun Said Community Hall, SMK Agama Tun Said Hall, SMK Taun Gusi, Tombol Muhibah Hall, SMK Taun Gusi 2 and Gopok Taginambur Hall.
So far 24 villages in Kota Belud are affected by floods while eight roads remained inaccessible to all types of vehicles. — Bernama
