Standard six pupil found drowned

BINTANGOR: The body of a Standard Six pupil who fell into Bintangor river two days ago, was found this morning.
The body of 12-year-old Wong Khoon Yung of SJKC Kai Chung was found floating in Stubah river at 9.05am by the public, two km from where he was reported to have fallen.
Bitangor Fire and Rescue Station chief Nicholas Belulin said the victim was believed to have slipped into the river at about 11.30am on Friday while trying to retrieve a ball that he and his friends had been playing with by the side of the Bintangor Waterfront in Jalan Dermaga. — Bernama
