Kota Belud flood victims down to 499

KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims in Kota Belud as at 8am today is 499 comprising 152 families.
The figure last night was 738 comprising 222 families.
In a statement here, the state Malaysian Civil Defence Force said the families were sheltered at four evacuation centres – Dewan SMK Agama Tun Said, Dewan SMK Taun Gusi 2, Dewan SMK Taun Gusi 1 and Dewan SK Taun Gusi.
It said four centres ceased operations last night.
Meanwhile, eight villages, namely, Kampung Marajah, Kampung Dongoi, Kampung Sadok-Sadok, Kampung Sangkir, Kampung Song-Song, Kampung Kota Bungan, Kampung Tawadakan and Kampung Suang Punggur are still flooded. — Bernama
