Marine & General shares rise 2.13% on vessel contract extension

    PETALING JAYA: Shares of Marine & General Bhd rose as much as 2.13% this morning, after it received a contract extension by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of two anchor handling tug supply vessels.
    At 11.05am, the stock stood at 24 sen with 639,100 shares changing hands. Its market capitalisation stood at RM170.11 million.
    Marine & General, previously known as SILK Holdings Bhd, said the award of the contract extension worth RM33 million was accepted by its subsidiary Jasa Merin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
    The original contract, which commenced on Jan 1, 2013 will be extended for one year till Dec 31, 2018.
