TMJ visits royal mausoleum to mark Hari Hol

JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim today visited the royal mausoleum in Jalan Mahmoodiah, here, in conjunction with Hari Hol.
The Crown Prince was received on arrival about 9am at the royal mausoleum by Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris, Tunku Putera Johor Tunku Abu Bakar and Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
Also present were State Secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani, state executive councillors and senior government officials.
Tunku Ismail first visited the grave of his grandfather, Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ismail who passed away on Jan 22, 2010, followed by the grave of his younger brother, Tunku Laksamana Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil who died on Dec 5, 2015, at age 25, from liver cancer.
The remembrance ceremony began as early as 7.30am with the reading of Quranic verses and Yasin, followed by tahlil as members of the royal family visited the graves at the mausoleum.
In Johor, Hari Hol is a public holiday commemorating the passing away of a Sultan. — Bernama
