ALOR STAR: The Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Almarhum Sultan Badlishah received the Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati Pangkat Pertama (DK1) from the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar here today.
The investiture, held at Istana Anak Bukit, began with a doa (prayer) session by Johor Religious Council adviser Datuk Nooh Gadot and ended by doa recited by Kedah Mufti Datuk Syeikh Fadzil Awang.
Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, Tunku Bendahara of Kedah Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Thani, Tunku Laksamana of Kedah Datuk Tengku Sarafuddin Badlishah Tunku Sallehuddin and Raja DiHilir of Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah attended the investiture.
After the ceremony, both the Sultans signed the Royal Visit Book at Anjung Istana before heading to the Langgar Royal Mausoleum here to visit the tomb of Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah who passed away on Sept 11. — Bernama
