NILAI: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will investigate any report of corruption and abuse of power, said MACC deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Datuk Shamsun Baharin Mohd Jamil (pix).
"We will probe any report we get that has any element of corruption and abuse of power," he told reporters at the signing of the corruption-free pledge at Universiti Islam Malaysia here today.
Shamsun Baharin was commenting on a statement by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who advised three People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel to lodge a report with the MACC after allegedly being offered a bribe to withdraw a police report against a 'Datuk Sri' over a recent assault at a temple in Kampung Baru Ampang, Selangor. — Bernama
