Pos Malaysia issues special collection featuring British royal couple

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) will be issuing a special series of stamps featuring the Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, in conjunction with the inaugural visit of the British royal couple to Malaysia for five days beginning Friday.
Pos Malaysia Stamps and Philately unit head, Diyana Lean Abdullah said the limited edition stamps series would involve production of 250,000 pieces.
She said the stamp series will be on sale in Sabah, Sarawak, Melaka, Perlis, Negri Sembilan, Selangor, Pahang, Penang and the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Putrajaya) from Friday.
Meanwhile, for Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor, the stamps will be available from Sunday (Nov 5) while in Perak from Monday (Nov 6).
"The stamp series will feature two designs featuring the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, both priced at RM1 each.
In addition, 40,000 pieces of miniature sheets featuring Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall priced at RM6 will also be available for purchase," she told a news conference here today.
Diyana said Pos Malaysia would also issue the complete set of stamp series including the First Day Cover and a special folder featuring the logo of the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between Malaysia and the United Kingdom as well as one piece of miniature sheet, priced at RM43.45 per set. — Bernama
