Maybank Singapore appoints new CEO

    PETALING JAYA: John Lee Hin Hock has been redesignated as Maybank Singapore CEO from Maybank group chief risk officer, effective Dec 1.
    Meanwhile, Gilbert Kohnke has been appointed group chief risk officer to replace Lee effective Nov 1.
    The banking group said in a statement that Lee will take over from Datuk Lim Hong Tat, the current CEO of Maybank Singapore and group head of Maybank’s community financial services (CFS).
    Lim will return to Malaysia to fully focus on the role of group head of CFS to drive and implement the group’s community banking strategy across all geographies including branch banking, consumer lending, small and medium-sized enterprise and business banking, sales and distribution, wealth management, payments, virtual banking, product innovation and customer segmentation.
