Penang civil servants with good disciplinary records to get RM2k bonus

GEORGE TOWN: The DAP-led Penang government today announced a RM2,000 bonus for its civil servants with good disciplinary records in its 2018 budget.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng when tabling the state budget at the State Legislative Assembly sitting here today said the bonus payment would be made later this year, involving nearly 8,000 civil servants.
"Those who do not have good disciplinary records will receive RM1,000," he said here today.
He said the RM2,000 bonus is also is applicable to all civil servants under the Penang Island City Council and Seberang Prai Municipal Council, as well as the state government agencies.
Lim also announced that religious school, Kafa teachers and independent Chinese school teachers would receive bonus of RM300, while those in tahfiz, pondok schools and Islamic kindergarten, would get RM200. — Bernama
