Maxis CEO Morten Lundal to leave in March 2018

    PETALING JAYA: Maxis Bhd CEO Morten Lundal will be leaving the company upon expiry of his contract on March 31, 2018.
    In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Maxis said the board of directors will announce his successor in due course.
    Lundal, 52, joined Maxis as CEO on Oct 1, 2013, bringing with him more than 16 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He is also a director of Maxis Bhd and its operational subsidiaries.
    Prior to joining Maxis, he was group chief commercial officer of Vodafone Group Plc from 2010 and before that, regional CEO responsible for eight operating companies in Central Europe and Africa. He joined Vodafone in 2008.
    Prior to Vodafone, he was CEO of Digi.Com Bhd. Lundal joined Nordic mobile operator Telenor in 1997 and has held several CEO positions in the group.
    Maxis shares were unchanged at RM6 on Friday with some 2.39 million shares done.
