1,335 candidates sit for SPM in Putrajaya

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 1,335 candidates are sitting for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2017 at 11 examination centres in Putrajaya which began today.
Putrajaya Education Department director Roaini Jaafar, who visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Putrajaya Presint 16(1) said, so far the examination in the federal territory was going smoothly.
"We have given information and clarifications not just to the examination supervisors and invigilators but also to all heads as they play an important role in ensuring the standard operating procedure and integrity are observed," she told reporters here today.
Roaini said the last paper for SPM candidates in Putrajaya was Information Technology and Communications on Nov 30.
Meanwhile, SMK Putrajaya Presint 16(1) principal Ab Aziz Mamat said there were 167 candidates from the school and he was targeting a 100% pass in the SPM.

Ab Aziz said he also hoped that at least four candidates from the school would achieve A+ in all subjects.
"The commitment of teachers and students was outstanding and excellence classes were also held on Saturdays and Sundays, besides the ones organised by outside parties like Puspanita," he said.
Meanwhile, student Muhammad Faisal Rusydan Rokhaime, 17, said he was excited about answering the examination questions.
"I am prepared for the examination and hope to get excellent results," Muhammad Faisal, who was walking with the help of a cane after suffering serious injuries in an accident in 2014. — Bernama
