Sabah SPM students may seek school's help
TUARAN: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students in Sabah may contact their school for help if they are sick or unable to go to the examination centre due to flood.
In this regard, an invigilator would be assigned to the hospital where the student was being treated, or in the case of a flood, agencies such as Fire and Rescue Department would help to send the affected students to the examination centre.
Sabah Education director Datuk Maimunah Suhaibul told reporters after visiting Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Taman Ria here today, that such students should not just stay at home and miss the examination.
She said the department was prepared for any eventuality such as flood, by activating the 'Ops Payung' in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, she noted SMK Taman Ria's initiative to provide breakfast for its 131 SPM students beginning today until the last day of the examination. — Bernama
