Big graduation

    CONGREGATING from around the world to celebrate the graduation of Asia eUniversity's latest batch of graduates, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Dr Mary Yap Kain Ching, representatives from foreign embassies, strategic partners and stakeholders joined the families of the graduates at AeU's 7th Convocation in Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur recently.
    A total of 3,227 graduates are Malaysians, while international graduates consist of students from other Asian countries and New Zealand; 1,276 of the total are postgraduates, while 1,951 are undergraduates.
    Datuk Yong Teck Shing, one of AeU's distinguished graduates is a Sabahan who graduated in Master of Science (Management) By Research degree.
    Having experienced a wide spectrum of researches, and coupled with a burning desire to achieve the highest academic degree possible, the former ambassador to Taiwan braved himself in enrolling into the PhD programme in Business Administration at AeU.
    The most outstanding graduate of the year is Ho Ken Fatt, a Master of Business Administration graduate who won three Prestigious Merit Awards of Excellence.
    "I've been running a diverse business portfolio since 1997. The MBA programme I enrolled for in AeU last year strengthened my business knowledge and skills, supplementing my real-life business experiences," says Ken Fatt.
    "I enjoyed AeU's flexible mode of learning which allows me to study anywhere, anytime without giving up my own businesses and family time".
    The president and CEO of AeU, Prof Datuk Dr Ansary Ahmed commended the graduates, saying, "Today is a celebration of which you are very much a part of too. My heartiest congratulations to all the graduating students and their families. The university is proud of your achievements."
