Taiwan Expo 2017 to showcase best solutions, services and products

KUALA LUMPUR: With more than 5,000 Taiwanese products and services on display, the Taiwan Expo 2017 which is taking place on Thursday is surely the trade show not to be missed by anyone.
Making its final stop in Malaysia after successfully showcasing innovative products in Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, the expo is bound to offer and share with everyone the best solutions, services and products from Taiwan.
"I am confident that the expo will help us to deepen and enhance the bilateral trade relationship between Taiwan and Malaysia en route to creating the best of life aesthetics, the most thriving metropolis, and an inclusive Muslim-friendly environment.
"The expo will also help Taiwan to promote our cooperation with Malaysian counterparts and increase Taiwan's visibility in the region," Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia representative James Chang Chi-Ping said during a media briefing on the expo today.
Chang pointed out that Taiwan has been agressively expanding into the Southeast Asia market since the introduction and implementation of Taiwan's New Southbound Policy and the expansion has yielded positive and great results so far.
"Three main focus areas of the policy – economic and trade cooperation, talent exchanges, and resource sharing – have been incorporated into the seven major pillars of the expo which includes, Taiwan excellence, green technology, e-commerce services, education & careers, medical services and culture & tourism," he said.
In addition to showcasing products, the expo will also be having industry forums, business matching sessions, cultural performances, lucky draws and products presentations.
"The industry forum will touch on a wide range of issues including green living, creative e-commerce, health industry, Taiwan halal industry promotion, intelligent transportation development and beauty product launches.
"Participants will gain invaluable insights on the development of Taiwan's market and potentially work towards future collaborations," Chang said.
Themed "BEST for MY Life!" the expo which will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Nov 9 to 11 is surely the event that all Taiwan fans and potential business partners alike should not miss. Admission is free.
