Your ticket to private schools

SCHOOL Places, Australia's first private school marketplace, has arrived in Malaysia through the launching of their website – www.schoolplaces.my. The expansion into Malaysia will see an innovative online private school marketplace to assist Malaysian parents and international families in their search for private and international school options for the children in Malaysia or Australia.

School Places CEO Natalie Mactier said, "We offer all parents looking for an enrolment at a private or international school a service that is easy and saves them time and running around by doing all the work for them. We help find a school that suits their needs and can then put a spot on hold so all that's left for them to do is tour the school in person and decide whether to formally enrol their child there."

How does School Places work? Parents can visit the website and browse the profiles of schools that School Places partners with. By either leaving their details in the website enquiry form for a customer service representative to contact them or phoning direct on 1300 221 668, the parent can discuss their needs and find out about vacancies at schools that suit.

Parents can then apply for a place that is available by completing a brief application form. These details are automatically forwarded to the partner school and the place is temporarily reserved for them. The parent and school then meet to complete the school's formal enrolment process.

If there are no matching vacancies, the parent can register their details to receive automated email alerts as soon as schools load vacancies on the site that match what they're looking for.

The Malaysian version of the website was launched with just a core group of partner schools on board, however inventory will continue to grow as additional schools join the service and begin to load their vacancy details. The service is completely free for parents.
