Only one NS tahfiz school meets safety requirements

SEREMBAN: Only one of 64 tahfiz schools in Negri Sembilan has complied with safety requirements specified by the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He said, of the total, 41 had yet to register with the State Education Department and the Negri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council.
"Tahfiz schools who have not met the JBPM safety specifications and have not registered are given until June next year to do so. Errant schools will be closed down immediately," he told a media conference here today.
The only tahfiz school which meets the JBPM safety specification is Maahad Ahmadi Negri Sembilan, Gemencheh which is under the state government. — Bernama
