KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down two remaining members of a house break-in group, dubbed "Gang John", who have been active in the administrative capital of Putrajaya during normal working hours.
Kuala Lumpur police chief, Datuk Mazlan Lazim said the male suspects, aged 28 and 29, were believed to have been involved in several house break-ins in Putrajaya on Oct 30.
He said the gang members were also allegedly active in Ampang, Bandar Sunway and Shah Alam.
"We have detained six men from the gang, aged between 23 and 62, in Putrajaya a week ago.
"Their modus operandi was to drop off one of their members at the housing areas in Putrajaya while the rest would monitor the surroundings and wait in the vehicle," he told a press conference, here, today.
Mazlan said with the arrest of the six suspects, who were active in house break-ins since 2015, police believed they had solved such cases in Putrajaya with estimated losses of RM85,000. — Bernama
