Factory worker claims trial to raping 15-year-old

IPOH: A 20-year-old factory worker has claimed trial to two charges of raping an underage girl at the Sessions Court today.
On the first count, P. Karunagaran had allegedly raped the 15-year-old girl at a home in Taman Batu Gajah Perdana at 12.45am on Oct 26, 2017.
For the second charge, he is alleged to have raped the girl at 2.30am on Oct 27 at the same place.
Deputy public prosecutor Naidatul Athirah Azman proposed bail of RM10,000 for each of the charges.
Lawyer R. Rajasegaran asked the court to reduce the bail amount to RM10,000 for the two charges.
Judge Zulqarnain Hassan set bail at RM6,000 for each of the two charges.
The case will be re-mentioned on Dec 8.
