PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a severe weather warning for several northern region states.
According to the Met Dept's warning, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds will hit the states of Perlis, Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Padang Tereap, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Sik and Baling), Penang and Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang &Selama and Hulu Perak) until tonight.
The severe weather is expected to persist until late night.
