DA NANG (VIETNAM): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has left the coastal city of Da Nang after wrapping up the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Economic Leaders' Summit (AELM) which ended on a high note and renewed optimism of the world's economy.
The plane, carrying Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, left Da Nang International Airport at 9am (Vietnam time) and will be going straight to the Philippines where he will be leading the Malaysian delegation to the three-day 31st Asean Summit and Related Summits.
He is expected to arrive in Manila at 12.30pm local time.
Most world leaders attending the AELM in Da Nang will also be in Manila where the Philippines played host begining Sunday, with the Rohingya refugees issue, the South China sea tussle and the rise of radicalisation and extremism expected to hog the limelight. — Bernama
