Two killed in trailer-car accident near Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A man and a woman died when the Perodua Alza they were travelling in was involved in an accident with a trailer at 11th Mile, Jalan Segama this morning.
However, the two victims who were killed instantly at the location had yet to be identified and their remains were handed over to police for further investigations.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department in a statement today said it received a call on the incident at 11.47 am.
According to the statement, six firemen, a fire engine and a utility vehicle rushed to the scene to extricate the victims trapped in the car.
The accident is believed to have occurred when the trailer crashed into the car carrying the two victims, the statement said. – Bernama
