Hartalega shares continue to rise on plans to launch new product

    PETALING JAYA: Hartalega Holdings Bhd's shares continued to rise by 5.29% this morning, after announcing that it has developed the world's first non-leaching antimicrobial nitrile examination glove, which it aims to launch early next year.
    At 10.54am, the stock stood at RM9.16 with 1.17 million shares changing hands. The nitrile glove manufacturer has a market capitalisation of RM14.9 billion.
    Hartalega said the new product was jointly developed with UK-based antimicrobial research and development specialists Chemical Intelligence Ltd.
    The patented technology represents a world-first process for incorporating antimicrobial activity in medical examination gloves during the manufacturing process.
