Mudajaya unit to issue up to RM245 million green sukuk
PETALING JAYA: Mudajaya Group Bhd's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Sinar Kamiri Sdn Bhd (SKSB) proposes to issue the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) Sukuk Wakalah to raise up to RM245 million.
The group told Bursa Malaysia that SKSB had made the lodgement with the Securities Commission Malaysia for the proposed issuance.
The principal activity of SKSB is power generation.
Proceeds raised from the proposed issuance will be utilised to part finance its proposed project for the development of a large scale solar photovoltaic energy generating facility of 49MWac in Sungai Siput, Kuala Kangsar, Perak.
The sukuk has been assigned a long term preliminary rating of "AA-" by Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd.
At 12.30pm, Mudajaya's share price gained 1 sen or 0.9% to RM1.08, with some 20,000 shares changing hands.
