Boustead Heavy's share price fall on lower earnings in Q3

PETALING JAYA: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC), whose earnings dipped 47.9% in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2017, saw its share price decline 2.49% this morning.
At 11.13am, its share price was 2.49% or 5 sen lower at RM1.96 with a total of 13,700 shares traded. Its shares fell 1 sen or 0.5% to close at RM2.01 yesterday on some 23,700 shares done.
BHIC’s net profit for the quarter fell 47.9% to RM7.75 million from RM14.88 million a year ago due to higher operating cost.
Revenue was down slightly from RM64.31 million to RM64.26 million. Despite the drop in earnings, it has proposed to declare an interim dividend of 2 sen per share for the quarter under review.
