KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 5,000 units of Felda Next Generation Friendly Home (RMGBF) costing RM164 million will be built, the Dewan Rakyat was told today.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Razali Ibrahim said the housing project would be built by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) through a strategic cooperation with Felda signed on April 13, 2017.
"So far, 60% of the survey work on the area has completed and the land application to the land and district offices has been made," he said when replying to a question by Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris (BN-Jerantut) on the programme of granting lots to Felda New Generation settlers.
Razali said the development of infrastructure, costing RM300 million, would be financed by Felda's internal funds.
According to him, the affordable houses are priced at RM75,000 per unit and the applicant would also receive RM20,000 subsidy from SPNB but they only needed to pay RM55,000.
He said the monthly repayment was about RM349 a month for 25 years. – Bernama
