Reward offered as Florida authorities hunt serial killer

MIAMI: Fears mounted in a Florida city on Wednesday over a possible serial killer after four unsolved murders, with police upping a reward for any clues.
Early Tuesday a 60-year-old man was killed in the pre-dawn hours in the western city of Tampa, police said, in the same neighbourhood where three other people were shot dead between Oct 9 and 19.
Police believe the four killings, none of which involved robbery or another obvious motive, may be related.
With the reward for information leading to an arrest at US$91,000 (RM380,125) police urged the community to help.
"Let's hope this motivates somebody with the strength and fortitude to step forward and tell us who's doing it," said police chief Brian Dugan, adding: "It doesn't matter if they're related, but I'm convinced that they are."
Police are working on multiple leads and looking at security video footage in their investigation, he said.
Asked it he was concerned there could be a fifth victim, Dugan told reporters: "Oh, yeah. I don't sleep at night. How could I?" — AFP
