PETALING JAYA: Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with FriedChillies.com, today launched its first ever fried chicken festival at the Ara Damansara Light Rail Transit (LRT) station near here in an effort to increase train ridership.
Rapid Rail CEO Datuk Zohari Sulaiman said the 'Ayam Lejen' festival was one of the initiatives of the Prasarana subsidiary company to make train travel more interesting and memorable for commuters.
"With over 600 commuters utilising our rail transport daily, we aim to increase the amount of ridership by promoting this festival to the public.
"This is in line with the government's aspiration of increasing public transport share by 40% by the year 2030," he said after launching the event.
A total of eight vendors of FrideChillies.com have set up stalls at the station selling different varieties of fried chicken such as Korean, Southern American, Buttermilk, and freestyle dishes involving fried chicken. – Bernama
