MRCB's share price rise 1.54% despite lower Q3 earnings

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd’s (MRCB) shares rose 1.54% this morning despite reporting a lower net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2017.
At 10.55am, its share price rose 1.54% or 1.5 sen to 99 sen with a total of 3.57 million shares traded.
During the quarter, MRCB’s net profit fell 4.4% to RM28.09 million from RM29.39 million a year ago due to higher expenses incurred.
However, its revenue doubled from RM551.22 million to RM1.13 billion during the quarter.
