KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has conveyed his congratulations to all candidates of the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) or Primary School Assessment Test, the results of which were released today.
"Congratulations to all the children who collected their UPSR results today.
"Regardless of what your results are, don't forget to express your gratitude to your parents and teachers who have helped you a great deal," he said in a post on his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Director-General of Education Datuk Dr Amin Senin, when presenting the first Primary School Evaluation Report (PPSR), said 8,958 UPSR candidates or 2.1% of the total 443,794 candidates secured an 'A' in all the subjects, an increase of 4,896 candidates over 2016.
He said that generally, the standard six pupils of 2017 secured a good achievement but there was room for improvement. – Bernama
