Johor assembly records congratulations on Sultan's birthday

ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Johor State Legislative Assembly today recorded its congratulations to the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, in conjunction with the ruler's birthday yesterday.
Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin accorded the honour prior to tabling the Johor budget for 2018.
"I take this opportunity, on behalf of the state government, honourable members of the house and all the people of Johor in recording the highest congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar in conjunction with Tuanku's birthday on Nov 22, 2017.
"Let us all pray with utmost sincerity for His Majesty and all members of the royal family to remain blessed to govern the state of Johor with fairness and wisdom," he said.
Mohamed Khaled also recorded congratulations on behalf of the state government and the people of Johor to the Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) football team on their winning the Malaysia Cup recently.
He said it was hoped that the victory of JDT would inspire Johor to excel in other sports as well to make the state a sports powerhouse in the country. – Bernama
