SHAH ALAM: A police witness today told the High Court here that Vietnamese woman Doan Thi Huong had the opportunity to dispose off the T- shirt and short skirt which she wore when she allegedly attacked Kim Chol or Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, on Feb 13.
Doan, 28, did not take that chance nor showed any sign of anxiety when handing over the T-shirt with the acronym 'LOL' on it and the skirt to the police two days after the incident.
Selangor Police Headquarters CID officer, Assistant Superintendent Nasrol Sain Hamzah, concurred with counsel representing Doan, Hisyam Teh Poh Teik, that the clothes were also not hidden in the room at Sky Star Hotel, Sepang where the accused had stayed when police conducted the raid.
He was testifying on the 23rd day of the trial of Indonesian Siti Aisyah, 25, and Doan, who are charged, along with four others still at large with killing Kim Chol, 45, at the Departure Hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) at 9am on Feb 13.
The 24th prosecution witness also agreed with Hisham's suggestion that his client had the opportunity to put the clothes into a plastic bag and discard them anywhere.
The witness also agreed with the counsel's suggestion that the accused (Doan) was involved in the shooting of two prank videos on the day of the incident and two days later at klia2.
To a question from counsel Salim Bashi who is also representing Doan, the witness said he was not sure if Doan disposed of any of the items sought by the police.
Nasrol, however, agreed with Salim's suggestion that Doan had rented room 401 at Sky Star Hotel from Feb 13 to 5.
The trial before Judge Datuk Azmi Ariffin continues on Jan 22 next year. — Bernama
