Number of flood victims in Kelantan decreases

KOTA BARU: The number of flood victims in Kelantan has dropped to 8,134 comprising 3,237 families as at 8am, compared to 9,002 at 8pm last night.
According to the Social Welfare Department's 'infobanjir' application, Pasir Mas recorded the highest with 4,804 comprising 2,040 families currently staying at 19 evacuation centres, followed by Tumpat with 3,306 (1,192 families) staying at eight centres and 24 (five families) at one centre in Pasir Puteh.
The Drainage and Irrigation Department's portal, infobanjir.water.gov.my reported that the level of Sungai Golok in Rantau Panjang has dropped to 9.94m from 10.14m. The danger level is nine metres.
The level of Sungai Golok in Kuala Jambu, Tumpat has dropped to 3.34m from 3.41m. The danger level is 2.5m.
Meanwhile, ebanjir.kelantan.gov.my said no main roads had been closed to traffic, and the weather this morning was reported to be fine. — Bernama
