PPZ-MAIWP holds year end tithe collection campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council's Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) is holding its month-long Year End Zakat 2017 or 'YEZ 2017' campaign from Dec 1 to encourage payment of tithes before end of this year.
Its deputy chief executive officer, Abdul Hakim Amir Osman, said the campaign involved 11 PPZ-MAIWP counters located each at Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras; the National Mosque; Wangsa Maju Section 5; Precinct 9 and Diplomatic Precinct 15, Putrajaya; Anjung Niaga Masjid Taman Tun Dr Ismail; Plaza RAH Jalan Raja Abdullah Kampung Baru; Masjid Al-Iman Al Ghazali Kepong; Masjid Abd Rahman Bin Auf Jalan Puchong; Labuan Times Square; and UTCKL Pudu Sentral.
He said the counters would also extend their operation hour from 8.15 am to 8 pm from Dec 26 to 31 with various payment facilities including payment via debit and credit cards.
"During the YEZ 2017 campaign, payers will also receive special souvenirs, which include Ustaz Ahmad Dusuki Abd Rani's 'Mau'izati' CD and table calendar, as well as a book on Pillars of Islam for children.
"At the same time, one winner of lucky draw will be selected daily from Dec 1 to Dec 29, and 20 winners from Dec 30 to 31," he told a press conference here.
For those who are unable to pay tithe at the 11 counters, payments can also be made via internet banking, mobile PPZ-MAIWP counter, and online at www.zakat.com.my. — Bernama
