FedEx Express opens first FedEx Ship Centre in Kuantan

    PETALING JAYA: FedEx Express has launched its FedEx Ship Centre in Kuantan, marking the company’s first physical presence in the east cost of Peninsular Malaysia.
    Customers around Kuantan can now drop off and collect packages at their convenience at the new centre, and have greater accessibility to quick and reliable delivery to more than 220 countries and territories around the world.
    The company said in a statement today that the timing of the centre’s opening supports the implementation of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) connecting Kuala Lumpur and the east coast states.
    “Fast and reliable delivery is critical to the success of businesses, particularly for the small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs), which make up of 98.5% of the businesses in Malaysia,” said FedEx Express Malaysia managing director Siang-Chung Chong.
    “Kuantan being the gateway to the East Coast is an ideal location for FedEx to serve the SMEs in Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, and assist them to connect to opportunities around the world,” he added.
    Located in Jalan Darat Makbar, the centre will be open six days a week.
