Strong winds, rough seas until Saturday

KUALA LUMPUR: Strong Northeasterly winds of 50 to 60km per hour (kmph) and waves up to 4.5m are expected to hit the waters of Condore, Reef North and Layang-layang until Saturday, Dec 9.
The Meteorological Department in a statement today said that strong winds and rough seas were dangerous to all shipping and beach activities including fishing and ferry services.
It also said that strong Northeasterly winds would also hit the waters off east of Samui, northeast Tioman, north Bunguran, Reef South, northwest Labuan and Palawan until Saturday.
The first category warning of strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph with waves up to 3.5m, posed dangers to small boats, sea recreation and sea sports, the statement said. — Bernama
