MALACCA: Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said Muslim brotherhood is important in addressing the Jerusalem issue and in defending the rights of the Palestinians.
"I would like to remind Trump (US President) not to test the Muslim strength and brotherhood as it can cause a catastrophe and threaten world peace.
"Trump, who is known for speaking out without thinking, still has the time to withdraw his statement about the intention of making Jerusalem as the capital of Israel," he told reporters, here today.
Earlier, 11 corporate agencies handed over tithe totalling over RM1 million to Zakat Malacca.
Idris, who is also World Assembly of Youth (WAY) president believed the leaders of Islamic countries were discussing the most appropriate reaction to Trump's statement.
"Even the British parliament has issued a strong statement to oppose the United States plan to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel," he added. — Bernama
