IT IS all about Star Wars this month as the eighth instalment of this galactic saga hits cinemas this week.
However, where should you spend your hard-earned cash to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
Who has the best premiums? Moreover, who offers the best Star Wars experience?
We take a look at the offering of two mega cinema chains in Malaysia and what they have planned regarding events, screening halls, and stuff you can buy for the most prominent movie event of the year.
MBO Cinemas
Best known for its aptly-named Big Screen at The Starling mall in Uptown Damansara, Petaling Jaya, MBO has four main activities to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
It actually opened its doors for advance purchases of tickets to Star Wars: The Last Jedi beginning Nov 30, 15 days before the official release of the movie in Malaysia.
Moviegoers can purchase their tickets at the ticket counters, via the MBO Cinemas website, or through the MBO Cinemas mobile app which is available on Google Play and the App Store.
Moviegoers need not watch the The Last Jedi empty-handed either.
MBO Cinemas has been offering three weekly combos at its concession stand that can be purchased, along with its exclusive movie merchandise.
The first week movie merchandise featured a BB8 popcorn container, and the second week was an Executioner Stormtrooper popcorn container.
Now, in its third week, MBO Cinemas is offering up to six variations of its Star Wars-themed stacking cups up for sale.
For just RM22, you can get a popcorn, a drink, and one of the stacking cups. For RM120, you can get all six stacking cups, plus the popcorn and drink.
On Wednesday, MBO will be hosting two early screenings of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at its Big Screen halls at MBO The Starling in Damansara, and MBO Elements Mall in Malacca.

The lounge will be decorated with a The Last Jedi photo wall, costumes, props, and statue displays as well as virtual reality games for visitors to try out.
On top of all that, the lounge will be serving specially-themed food and beverages to whet cinemagoers' appetite before the movie.

To enter the lounge, you must purchase a voucher which is priced at RM25 for MovieClub members, RM30 for non-members, and RM15 for those under 18 years.
