Missing fisherman found drowned

JOHOR BARU: A man who was reported to have slipped and fallen into the sea while fishing in waters off Pulau Kukup, near Pontian, two days ago, was found drowned today.
Johor Bahru Maritime deputy director (operation) Commander Haris Fadzillah Abdullah said the body of Putra Aminurrashid Zaidi, 21, was found at 2pm, about 500m from where he was reported to have fallen.
The body had been sent to the Kukup Ferry Jetty and handed over to the police for further action, he said in a statement.
The victim was reported to have gone out fishing with two friends in a boat when he lost his balance and fell into the sea last Friday. — Bernama
