343 Felda settlers in Serting Hilir 3 and 7 receive land titles

JEMPOL: A total of 343 Felda settlers in Serting Hilir 3 and 7 received their land ownership titles here today after completing repayments (for development and other costs) to Felda and the state government.
Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said there were only 964 Felda settlers in Serting Hilir 4 who had yet to receive their land ownership titles as there were still several matters that had yet to be settled, including land gazetting issues.
"We expect the gazetting of the land will be resolved in the near future and the land titles can be handed over to the settlers within the middle or end of Jan next year," he told reporters after officiating the Presentation of Land Ownership Titles to Felda Serting Hilir 3 and 7 Settlers together with the Handing Over of a Replica Cheque as Full Settlement Incentive for Balance of Shares in Raja Alias FGV Region.
Also present were Felda Chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad and Serting Assemblyman Datuk Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli.
Mohamad also said for the final stage, the handing over of the land ownership titles to Felda Raja Alias 1 and 2 settlers would be carried out after the resurveying of the land had been carried out.
"The land in Felda Raja Alias 1 and Felda Raja Alias 2, had to be resurveyed because the area is part of the power line route to Pagoh and Yong Peng, Johor and land acquisition had to be made for the project," he added.
At the function, the Mentri Besar handed out cheques amounting to RM638,820 to 351 Felda settlers who had made full payment for the balance of shares in FGV. — Bernama
