November vehicle sales up 0.2% year on year

PETALING JAYA: Vehicle sales volume in November 2017 up 0.2% or 89 units to 49,184 units from 49,095 units a year ago, according to the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).
For the 11 months period, sales were 1.3% higher at 521,907 units compared with 515,252 in the first 11 months of 2016.
On a month-on-month basis MAA said sales volume was 4.6% or 2,143 units higher than October 2017, due to year-end festive sales promotions.
Sales volume for December 2017 is expected to be better than November 2017, on the back of the continuation of aggressive promotional campaigns by car companies and year-end festive sales promotions, MAA said.
