AirAsia X appoints new CFO

PETALING JAYA: AirAsia X Bhd has appointed former AirAsia Bhd group financial controller Wong Mee Yuen as the new chief financial officer (CFO) following the resignation of Cheok Huei Shian.
The long-haul budget carrier said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that Cheok, 40 had resigned from her role to pursue personal interests.
In line with that Wong’s appointment as the new CFO comes into effect on Jan 1, 2018.
The 51-year-olds served as the group financial controller of AirAsia between 2004-2007.
Wong was Director of Corporate Finance & Business Performance Analysis of Beacon International Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd prior to this appointment.
