Myanmar national stabbed to death over a woman

IPOH: A Myanmar national in his 30s is believed to have been murdered by his countryman over a woman near a restaurant in Pasir Puteh here today.
The younger brother of the deceased who was injured in the incident had been warded at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here.
Ipoh City police chief ACP Mohd Ali Thamby said: "Initial investigation revealed the man was stabbed after he reprimanded the assailant for disturbing a woman. The man who had been identified then fled with the woman. All of them were friends.
"Pasir Puteh police station received a call from a patrol unit of a man stabbed to death next to the restaurant at 2.15am.
"A police team rushed to the scene and found the deceased with stab wounds to his waist, ribs and chest.
"We also spotted another man with stab wounds on his right hand about 1km away from the scene."
Two of them worked in a factory nearby. Police recovered a motorcycle and a sheath for a knife believed to be the murder weapon.
No personal belongings were said to have been taken from the deceased.
