Number of flood victims in Sarawak rises to 265

MIRI: The number of flood victims in Sarawak increased to 265 from 66 families as at noon today compared to 161 from 47 families as of 8am.
According to the State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, 56 evacuees from seven families were being sheltered at the newly opened relief centre in Sekolah Kebangsaan Nanga Merah, Kapit, making a total of three such centres being operated so far.
"The two relief centres in Limbang, namely the Trusan Community Hall and the Medamit Community Hall house 68 victims from 14 families and 141 victims from 45 families, respectively," it said in a statement today.
