Najib hopes ASB income distribution can empower Bumiputera equity ownership

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak hopes the announcement on the income distribution for Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) can directly empower equity and share ownership for Bumiputeras.
"Alhamdulillah, as a result of good management, the return on income for ASB this year is announced at 8.25 sen, 12% higher than the return for last year.
"Hopefully, this government initiative can directly empower equity and share ownership for Bumiputeras," He said in his latest entry in his official Twitter website.
Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) today announced the income distribution for ASB made up of seven sen dividend per unit, a bonus of 0.25 sen per unit and a special bonus of one sen per unit up to 10,000 units in conjunction with the 40th Anniversary of PNB in March 2018.
